Do you ever wonder why photographers spend only 1/3 of their time behind the camera and 2/3'rds of their time in front of a computer? Well...  here is an example of the kinds of things we do behind the scenes to take a photo from wow! to OH MY GOSH!!

Mom really really wanted a photo with her son and their two dogs.  Easy, right?  No.... Not when you have puppies and young children.  We tried to get all three of them in the images doing what we wanted at the same time and while we managed a few ok shots, they were not exactly what I was looking for.  So, we took then individually and then I created the image on my computer.  Perfect and just what we were looking for!! :)

Simple edits for this sleeping little newborn baby girl.  I wanted her tilted a little bit so rather than fix it and risk waking as sweet sleeping baby, I just did it in photoshop with a few edits. :).

This was an inspiration from Pinterest that mom wanted to recreate.  We had to support her daughters head and "create" this image via composite.

Senior portraits ... I love this photo but the background lights from the football field were distracting to me.  So... We made them go away! Magic!  Or Photoshop... Either way, the final product is fantastic, don't you think?

Most newborn portraits require some assistance and compositing to get the photo the way you want it to look.  In order to safely support the babies head, we frequently have a finger there to keep baby safe.  These are photoshopped for the final image (Above).

Edited image examples for before and after newborn baby shootBefore & After Photos Newborn BabiesBefore and after editing photos of a newborn baby girl, Photoshop, Kristin Boyer, K. Boyer photography, Professional photography, A little modification to the lighting in this image as well as the grey fabric color.   She was so comfy, I hated to move her for fear of waking her up so sometimes it's easier to change the image in Post. :)   Plus, a little softening on the face as well. :)

Precious photo that just needed a little touchup and a few angle changes,  I moved her a little bit!  She was so peaceful that I did not want to wake her up and move her so I did it in Photo Shop. ;)
