Since I have two little girls (well they are 12 and 14 but they are still my little girls!), I have a HUGE affinity and love for sweet, gorgeous little boys!! Especially these two! Their personality shines through these images...

Mom did a great job dressing the whole family. I love outfits that are similar and in the same color family but not too matchy matchy. (See my What to wear page.) They are wearing shades of blue, kahki and cream and they are all in the same color family but each is unique and looks great! Everyone is comfortable so genuine smiles were easy to achieve! Plus, with these boys' blue eyes, the color is PERFECT! :)

It is early spring so these flowers had just fallen from a bush and I had the boys lay under the shade of the bush with the newly covered with spring growth. The flower petals were perfectly set out and waiting for them so we could have the perfect backdrop! I love to be silly with young children and it typically works pretty well... it is one of the reasons why I love what I do because I am naturally a bit silly and I love to joke around, make friends and have fun. These little guys played right along with the silliness and had fun too.

Kristi and Ray have a beautiful family and these boys are seriously darling, well mannered, wonderful children. They knew how to have fun, run and play, enjoy the outdoors, listen and helped me to "capture the moment". I love them even when I don't have a camera around my neck!! :) I frequently run into them at church, at Chamblee Methodist VBS and preschool, the local YMCA and all around our hood and I am always given big hugs and warm smiles Every. Single. Time. It makes my heart sing with joy and I thank God for the work that I do so that I can hang around people like this!!!

One of the things I like to tell kids is that I have two "rules"... first they must have FUN. They can run, jump, play, climb trees .... anything they want and I am going to take photos of it all!! See one below... I LOVE and adore kids being kids... candid images are so great. The second rule is for parents... they are OFF the clock!! You learn more about what that means during a session... but parents get to relax and enjoy the fun too.

I almost always end my family sessions with a LARGER than life lollipop for the kids... they LOVE it and I love giving it to them. They are very excited but frequently can not finish it up until long after the session is over. My only criteria for getting the lollipop is that i get a photo of them eating it!! It is never a hard sell. :)
