Spring Family Portraits for a Family of 5 | Roswell Mill | Roswell GA Photographer

One thing I have learned and STILL fail to do whenever I go on a shoot is bring business cards with me.  It seems I am always asked for my card by someone who is watching one of my sessions and wants to know how to book their own shoot.  Well, this lis one of the families that asked me for my card and I did NOT have one but she remembered me, looked me up and booked a family session!  I was photographing a senior at Roswell Mill in Roswell GA and she watched how much fun we were having and wanted the same for her family.  So, 6 months later, we met back at Roswell Mill on a sunny, spring morning and photographed her three kids with the sun streaming through the trees, the girls in gorgeous dresses and smiles all around.   Spring family portraits on the Chattahoochee river at Roswell Mill. I love this image of dad and his sweet girls. They so easily snuggled up and sat with daddy on this rock.

Seriously, look at these five.  As is often the case, I am meeting families for the first time when we arrive at our shoot and I love to watch how everyone interacts with each other and gets along.  Having two girls of my own, it is always great fun for me to be with other families that have girls in similar stages of life.  I almost always learn from my kids and families and one take away that I got from this family and have used multiple times since is the parents way of empowering the girls to make their own good decisions.  There was strong positive talk about the girls making their own choices (this had to do with the outfit decisions) and allowed the girls to come to their own decisions. It was the way in which this was handled that I walked away and said "I need to try to do this too", and I have!!!  It is a win win for parenting!!  The provided the choices (approved by mom and dad) and the child made the final decision within those parameters.

This might be one of my MOST favorite images EVER.    True laughter and joy with this darling little girl... and look at the pearls.  Gotta love a girl who loves her pearls!!!!

I think she is an angel.... there is practically a halo over her head!  The natural light on this particular morning was a total gift.  Just PERFECT.

Love mommy and daughter images.  We are never in the photos often enough so it is great to have mother and child together.  I always make it a point to try to capture these times so there is REAL proof that mom was around and not always behind the camera! :)

A crawler now but she is starting to move FAST and that look of mischief means she is about to start running!

Can I keep her?  :)

This lovely girl might be the best big sister ever.  She was so sweet and helpful and has a wonderful inner beauty and glow that makes the outside even more beautiful. Truly a little gift.

One of my "signatures" are giant lollypops at the end of each session (not for mini's though) and it is always a treat.  Aren't they cute???

The three girls... each precious and each a gift.  It is awesome to capture these moments in time for these great families.  I LOVE what I do.

If you are in the Atlanta area and would like family portraits, call me!  I'd love to do them for you!!

I look forward to capturing "Your Story with MY lens!!"
