The BEST Family Photos during a Backyard Family Reunion

If I could ever adopt a whole entire family, this would ABSOLUTELY be that family!!! I LOVE them! We had a blast. It was a super hot June day and we had photos in the backyard where it was a children's playground oasis ... rope swing, rock climbing wall, pool with a slide AND a waterfall, cabana with a grill, jungle gym, beautifully landscaped and even an in ground trampoline!! Whaaat? Yup... Amazing. All this plus a fun, happy, energetic and simply lovely group of people. Everyone was fun with a great attitude.

As part of every photoshoot on location, I first look at what I have to work with. Lighting is always number one (even through I bring my own off camera flash for fill flash). Once I know the direction I want to shoot, I look at props and things for people to stand on, sit on, lean on or even hide behind. This yard had so many options it was a photographers nirvana!! Getting kids (and adults!) to move, laugh and have fun during a photo shoot is my goal every time. Everyone enjoys themselves and there are some super fun, lifestyle, non-posed candid photos. It is my favorite type of shoot!
