The Perfect Newborn Photo Shoot

Most of the time, newborn photographers prefer to photograph brand new babies within the first 10 - 14 days of birth. This allows us to capture those gorgeous sleepy newborn photos and we can move those little ones all around and into darling positions with cute little hats and props.

This little one was photographed at 6 weeks old. The family has 2 other children and the third was born in December. They were BUSY! So, we photographed her in January and she simply broke the mold for perfect babies. She was equally awake and sleepy, naked and wrapped and we not only got all the poses, we laughed uproariously throughout the process!! Plus, as an added bonus, we got shots of her with her beautiful blue eyes wide open and gazing at us in wonder (or maybe confusion??).

Well, we have a perfect brand new addition to this awesome family... a new baby!!! These photographs were taken at 6 weeks old and she was so sweet and held on for ages during her photographic debut. Since she was born in December and we had her studio session in January, they are all in doors. I think I might have laughed harder during this shoot than any other single shoot in my photo career. I have photographed this family for the last three years, over two kids, a move and loads of laughs and fun. I adore their children.... they know who I am, they are always ready to smile and laugh and be silly and they are simply some of my favorites!!

A pure blessing to me.
