December is a month of gifts, giving, family and time with friends... we get a chance to enjoy all the things that mean so much to us.  For me, December is a wonderful time of year and not only because of Christmas.  It is also the month that my husband and I met our first born daughter.   I know the wonder and joy that fill your heart as you gaze upon the newborn family member that graces your home for their first Christmas.  It is such a special gift that can't ever be verbalized appropriately.  We tried for years to grow our own family and had finally given up on our dream when we tried one more time...and guess what?  It worked!  We added our December baby to make us a family of three.  Two years later, we later added another baby girl in January!  I LOVE the winter months!! 

I share all this to say that photographing a newborn baby during the cold winter months is one of my greatest joys.  I KNOW the joy.  I have felt the overwhelming, heart bursting fullness of a newborn.  For me, I think I feel this so strongly because we had such difficulty.  Regardless, it is with great joy that I welcome this December Baby Girl into the world.  She is a beautiful little child and it was a great pleasure to meet her and her family.

Her big brother is a student of one of my Atlanta area preschools that I photograph so being able to see him with his new baby sister and enjoy his company in his home was a huge bonus.  I love what I do.  It is such an honor.  Thank you for trusting me with these amazingly important images

  This past December was extra special for the "M" family as they welcomed home their newborn baby girl Charlie.
