A Family Photo Shoot 

for a Retired Air Force Col. & his Wife!

Photography is such a great gift!!  Whether you give or receive a professional portrait session, it is always a gift that is cherished and brings joy.  It is what we reach to when those we love are gone and it helps us remember those moments in time that go by so fast and change in the blink of an eye.  A dear college friend called and asked me to do a family photo shoot as a gift to her parents for their 50th wedding anniversary...   What an awesome gift idea!!!!  Col and Mrs. Brimmer, their children (Dawn & Rob) and their spouses and significant others as well as EIGHT grandchildren.  WHAT CHAOS and FUN!! 

One of my favorite families in the world and one I have known for over half my life...  I am pleased to introduce you to the Brimmers and the Hunters.  Such a great, fun and crazy family and one I am happy to call my own through years of friendship.   Dawn and I went to college together just a few short years ago and while much has changed in our lives, our friendship has stayed strong over the years.  We have laughed & cried together, traveled together, celebrated marriages and growing families and even mourned those we have loved and lost.  There are so many things in life to be thankful for and strong families and enduring friendships is right at the top of the list.  It is with great joy that photographed this Atlanta families photos at Lake Arrowhead, GA this summer.    One of the privileges of being a family photographer and what better family than this?

Kirk Brimmer (Center, back row) is a retired Air Force Thunderbird Pilot.  Her brother Rob follows in his father's footsteps and flies as well.  The rest of this crew are exceptional in their own right.   See the great photo below of the great Fighter Pilots in the making!!    

One of the many reasons why I love my job as a family photographer... engaging with people and families like this and capturing these moments in time that go by so quickly and change so very fast.
